Residents of the City's central districts complained about overflowing bins in their courtyards, while small shop and cafe owners reported piling garbage at their service entrances. Operators gave the same response: "According to our records, collection at your address is scheduled for next week." Customers were baffled — many held contracts with fixed schedules that had been followed without fail for years.

At first, the company blamed it on a technical glitch. The reality turned out to be far more serious — unknown attackers had breached the system and altered the waste collection schedule.

The consequences followed swiftly. Outraged customers began terminating their contracts and switching to competitors, while city authorities launched an inspection and threatened to revoke the company's license.
