A cyber incident with catastrophic consequences occurred at Commercial Bank of Standoff. During the attack, while exploring the bank's internal services, the attackers discovered a component used to update currency exchange rates. Through it, the hackers downloaded an access token to the bank's system API and gained the ability to perform almost any operation - from requesting account information to transferring funds and confirming payment for government services. The reason is the lack of a clear role-based access model, which should have limited the privileges of system components.

The incident has raised concerns among regulators and is considered a threat to the security of the national payment system. The consequences may affect both individuals and government structures, especially if the attack continues to develop. The investigation is ongoing.
